Full Itinerary
Chianti Wine Tour
On our Chianti wine tour you will enjoy a comprehensive introduction to the region and its local products while visiting two of the area’s best estates. As you sample the signature tipples, you’ll learn about the art of tasting and pairing with food.
Villa le Corti
Our first stop of the day is at a beautiful winery belonging to one of our prestigious Italian aristocratic families. Here we taste three wines paired with salumi (cured meats) – but first, there’s a fascinating guided tour of the historic cellars and the olive mill, which we will reach through underground tunnels that pass beneath the villa
Rignana
Now buckle up and get ready for some off-roading through ancient woodlands and rolling hills. Hop aboard ‘the Beast’ and take in the beautiful scenery, from the cypress trees to the rustic farms and churches, as we make our way to Rignana, a typical Tuscan restaurant and winery with stunning views. Get your taste buds ready for lunch of delicious food and red wine (and a blind olive oil tasting). You won’t want to leave!
Try Tuscan specialities with a 3-course lunch
Poggio Torselli
The adventure continues as we continue our drive through the incredible countryside on our way to our final stop of the day. Here you will take a tour of the impressive villa and hear about some incredible events that have happened here during the last 600 years and the famous families who have lived here. There will be time to relax and walk around the stunning grounds, soaking in the unique beauty and views, whilst learning more about wine before you sit for the final tasting of three wines paired with cheese. The perfect end to a truly unforgettable day.

Incredible experience

My wife and I had so much fun. This was one of the most enjoyable experiences we have had while on any vacation. The wine and food were delicious. We appreciated the hospitality of each of the vineyards. Alex was our guide. His knowledge of the area, the history and the wine was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed our time with Alex and all that the Chianti countryside had to offer.

See the Italy of your dreams

Our guide, Alex, was incredibly informative and entertaining. He is a sommelier and lifelong Tuscan who clearly has a passion for the history, food, and drinks of the region. Sergio admirably drove the 4x4 through the gorgeous hills and villages of the Chianti region, and his passengers didn’t experience the slightest discomfort. While more expensive than some other tours, this safari is still absolute value for money. We were met with knowledgeable guides and full table settings for our Chianti Classico tastings at every vineyard. Each estate seemed more stunning than the last, and I honestly couldn’t imagine better locations. We weren’t wanting for wine, cheese, olive oil, or conversation: everyone in the group was laughing like old friends by the time we were done with the first tasting. The way we were all seated in close proximity for the tastings really helped us get to know each other right away. 10 out of 10, this safari should be part of any holiday in Florence.

Best Way to Experience the Chianti Wine Region
by: Dylan Biggs on Walkabout
This tour is a must do if you’re in Florence and love your wine. All the wineries we visited were beautiful and very accommodating. All the lunch, wine and snacks along the way were delicious. Lavi was a fantastic tour guide who gave us heaps of interesting information about the region and Roberto was a champion driver navigating the difficult roads. The office staff were also very accommodating when I fell ill and had to alter my booking.
Charming Chianti Safari
by: Camille Allaire on Walkabout
My husband and I had an amazing day trip under the Tuscan sun with Alessandro (guide) and Giuseppe (Torsus driver). We sampled 9 wines in good company. Alessandro taught us about the wine & olive oil making, Italian history and managed to create a connection with everyone. 10/10 would recommend this tour.
